They exemplify the many branches and diversifications miniature painting has undergone. Their meticulous talent allows the Russian masters to paint on a huge variety of mediums. The figurines are inspired not only by the Imperial and Red Armies but also by the military of foreign lands and ancient times, as well as warriors from the artists’ own fantasy worlds.    The artists' command of miniatures enables them to paint the figurines with immense richness and fine detail. The sophisticated lead forms highlight the tiniest painted details.
